“Consecrate them in Truth.” -John 17:17

Supporting education in an authentically Catholic environment.

Located in Bear, Delaware, Aquinas Academy is a small, private, Catholic school dedicated to promoting academic excellence within the tradition of a Catholic education. The academy offers personalized instruction to students in grades PK-12, regarding each child as of infinite value in the sight of God.

Our Curriculum

The extraordinary curriculum we use is liberal arts. Aquinas Academy has adopted this curriculum from other similar-type programs across the country that have the same objectives and purposes. These schools have proven time and time again to be very successful at meeting this objective (e.g. schools such as Seton school, Kolbe Academy, and Trivium School.)

Student Life

Activities are an integral part of the program of every good school. They provide an opportunity for exploration in areas of interest outside the classroom. In these activities, students are able to learn to express themselves, to share, to work together, to display their talents, to discipline themselves, to respect the rights of others, to work toward a common goal, and to associate with each other.

Spiritual Life

The Spiritual Life is at the forefront of everything we do here at Aquinas, it directs all actions toward the honor and glory of God. All subjects at Aquinas are studied under the light of faith, and equips the student with a belief in Catholicism as a way of life.

“To relate all of human culture to the good news of Salvation so that the light of the Faith will illumine everything that the students will gradually come to learn about the world, about life, and about the human person.”

— Gravissumum Educationis (Vatican II Councilor document on Christian Education)
